We had fun with Devon on Wednesday night. She was dressed up as a lion and we took her to my parents' house. She walked in the front door (holding on to me) and made a beeline for the basket of candy on the floor. She sat down and started pulling everything out and throwing it over her shoulder. It was pretty funny because you couldn't see her face at all, just a huge lion head with its snout in the basket. My Dad took a whole roll of film, so stay tuned for photos.

I taught Devon how to nod her head yesterday and now she won't stop. She looks at the cats and nods her head, looks out the window and nods her head, talks to her toys and nods her head...I guess it's better than shaking her head!

Well, I think that's it for today. I'm feeling less than inspired and I have some meeting minutes to write up.

Have a good weekend!

Happy Halloween! Figures it's snowing. Sheesh!

Check out Devon's Halloween video (you need Quicktime to view it). It's destined to become a classic.

Has it really been that long since I wrote? Last week is a bit of a blur. I think I'm still recovering from Friday night. We went out (sans children) with Carl and Lesley, and Andrea and Daren, to Pub Italia (one of my favourite hangouts). There was much raucous laughter, bad jokes, good trappist beer and fine food. We went to bed around 2am a little hungover. Taking care of a baby while you're hungover is not fun.

Actually, now that I think back, I was tipsy on Thursday night too. My parents had given us a gift certificate for Stoneface Dollys that came with free babysitting. It was a great place. It's *very* cozy, but the food is incredible.

Saturday was Jeff's birthday. We spent the afternoon celebrating my Uncle Arch's 60th birthday (this is a big week of birthdays for the Gamble clan: Arch, , Jeff, Jaime and Jo Ann have their birthdays one after the other). We then went over to Todd and Jen's to celebrate Jeff's and my mother-in-laws birthdays. Phew! We were so busy that we've had to postpone Jeff's birthday present (a day off) to next weekend.

Today we got our new washing machine hooked up, so I've been happily doing laundry all day. Sad eh?

Oh ya, and about Devon...she is a mile a minute. All she wants to do is walk, walk, walk. She can stand on her own without falling, even with one hand. She's cruising all over the place and she's damn proud of herself! I'm exhausted.
